Back at Road Runner Crag today, but this time with some students.

Perfect weather for it, as well as favorable tide timings again.

It’s a good crag to be at with students as there’s plenty to do when your not climbing, without straying too far and there’s a good lesson to be learnt about incoming tides – which happen a lot faster than you might imagine.

Not wanting to get cut off from our exit, we did a few quick easy climbs before leaving. It’s worth knowing that there are a couple of routes that top out onto the cycle track should the worst happen and you get cut off by the tide.

But the walk back along the beach is much nicer so we made sure we had time to get back with dry feet.

The rest of the wekend was taken up with various equipment and stores projects, fixing and mending, hosting a raft race and attending a BMC meeting.
