One of my students had got a new rope and was keen to try it out. This meant that office work was suddenly put on hold as we nipped over to Marle Crag to christen it!

I’d only climbed here once, just after the routes were bolted. It’s seen a bit of traffic since and the rock has cleaned up well. We climbed 3 routes and left the rest for another time…
