Started off the Bank Holiday weekend with some sea kayak skills training around the Little Orme near Llandudno. Beautiful sea birds galore diving from the cliffs, plenty of inquisitive seals but no photos!

Reassuring to know I can still get in and out of a boat far from the shore! Good to keep the skills sharp. After washing and drying the salty kitchen we saw Saturday out with some dancing with Rachuba in Y Felinheli.

Tried to get a bit of Cottage admin done on Sunday, while the rest of the world visited the cliffs of North Wales. Nice day for both options.

Then with the lawn mowed, windows cleaned, gutter fixed and various other bits and bobs sorted, we nipped out after dinner on Monday evening for a quick climb once ‘everyone’ had left.

Perfectly timed as the sun set down the Ogwen Valley.

The sun is still on the rock at 20:00 at this time of year. Nice to get a little bit of movement on the rock before dark.

As the last of the light faded from the bank holiday, we were the last car in the valley.

A cap of cloud sat on the top of Tryfan as we drove away…
