A day of stunning light on the west coast of Anglesey.

The dark clouds parted as we arrived at the estuary that leads out to the sea. Low tide meant that we could walk along the river edge towards the hole in the clouds!

The beams of sunlight (Crepuscular Rays), were landing down on the horizon and stayed there all day as my students and I hiked the coastal path.

The theme of the hike was ‘appreciation of beauty’, so it all fitted in rather nicely to the lesson plan!

As well as walking, we probably spent more time beach combing and goofing around searching for treasure.

With it also being my official “Brain Day” I got to see a few celebratory fireworks in Bangor to mark the occasion and finish off a nice day.
