Climbing at Pen y Corddyn Mawr

Climbing at a second new crag of the week in North Wales! (new as in we’ve never climbed there). We had hoped to be up high in the mountains on a long route as preparation for the Namibia expedition, but the weather convinced us to head east to the sunshine. While it was drizzling in the mountains, it was tops off at the crag!

The crag is only small, but has a good selection of very well bolted climbs at a range of grades. Shade at the base and scorching at times on the wall, so perhaps good training for Africa after all! After blasting through a selection of climbs, we left a few more to come back for another day and were home in time for some more expedition admin before dinner. Brilliant.
