Absolutely incredible weather in the Lake District. Couldn’t have asked for a better week to be staying in a beautiful house with the gang in Little Langdale.

Walking down to the River Brathay was about all we could manage in the heat. Climbing was out of the question…

Getting in the river was essential! Saw plenty of fish…

It was even too hot to sit by the river after swimming, so we retreated back to the house and sat in the shade of the front porch to take in the views…

And even had a cheeky afternoon drink to stay both cool and hydrated, which felt outrageously luxurious!

Later in the afternoon, we walked down to the ford and into Cathederal Quarry, which was both cool and impressive.

Best of all was spotting another, even better swimming spot!

Hot, hot, hot, but what better place to be to enjoy it all…
