To make the most of our final day on the island, we were up with the sun and down on the beach before anyone in Cala Llonga had stirred. Well, after a quick stop in the hotel lounge for an early ‘light breakfast’.

The beach was deserted and the water flat calm as we waded out on the soft sand and swam.

The conveniently placed hotel meant that once out of the sea and dried off, we could return to the breakfast buffet for a hot meal which we now both craved. And once we’d had our fill there, we took our morning coffee right down at the waters edge.

We’d thought it would be our last meal and drink, but on checking out at midday, the staff gave us a wrist band that would get us free access to the bars and lunch menu as our taxi was still a few hours away! How very nice of them!
We spent the remaining time we had left walking over to the beach we’d visited previously…

Along with finding a few fossils, we also had a final secluded swim together.

The timings worked out perfectly and we were able to get back to the hotel for a warming lunch (accompanied with a final glass of white wine of course!).

As it was Easter Sunday, it seemed right that we pass by the town of ‘Jesus’ on the way to the airport!

Our driver dropped us off at the airport door with enough time for a bit of souvenir shopping in the form of an enjoyable bit of dressing up in ‘Desigual’.

What a magical time away…. A short flight, surprisingly smooth passport experience and then the final drive along Wales’ north coast had us back home at The Cottage by 22:00. We came in through the back door and directly to bed!.. Happily exhausted…
