It’s been a fun, if somewhat unfamiliar, experience to have nothing to do, organise or even really think about during our day to day living here in Ibiza. All food and drink has been on tap pretty much 24hours a day and the beach is a matter of metres away.

After a few days of eating a weeks work of food at a time, in order to maintain some small degree of health, we needed to go for a walk before the next meal was served. Across the bay we followed a dead end road that gave a great view of our humble abode as well as the fantastically clear water.

The tarmac eventually ended and a small path led into the trees, finishing right on the cliff tops with the view of an inaccessible bay.

Back at the hotel, after another enormous and lengthy lunch, we had a good table tennis match that worked up enough of a sweat to contemplate another swim.

Even though the water was a bit cool, the colour made it impossible to resist.

To warm up afterwards, the bar tender made us a coffee, which was topped up with a very generous serving of Baileys! Meanwhile a saxophonist was accompanying some dance music on the bar terrace, so we joined in for some open air dancing!

Then, in the spirit of giving things a try, we ordered a refreshing gin and tonic and a sangria. The latter being less desirable. After some reading and relaxing, enjoying the afternoon sun on the balcony it was suddenly the evening again!

We selected yet another outfit and wandered down to the restaurant before finishing the night with a barefoot walk on the beach under the stars…
