Wet and windy has been the theme of the past few days up in the mountains. The low cloud made it feel like it’s barely got light at times! We did find a brief bit of brightness down by the straits after a morning at Indy Climbing Wall.

Nice to see our old house again with the tide up close…

Despite the grey skies, there has been a bit of colour in the garden still.

And just before dark on Monday we walked outside to see a sudden, but brief clearing of the skies.

Still, it didn’t make us want to venture out much further, so we retreated back inside for some cheese and port by the fireside! Very cosy, as the wind blew and rain hammered back on the windows…

Surfing seemed like the best option today, with even wetter and windier conditions, although it took a few minutes to get psyched up and out of the van!

Off a sheltered headland, we both got a few waves, but the wind prevented them from being really good rides. Still, it was good to be out in the ocean and getting a work out, before returning to the sanctuary of The Cottage for a hot shower.
