It’s been an ‘unsettled’ few days of weather, with more of the same on the horizon. I’ve mostly had my head in a laptop or sorting kit stores ready for another term of Outdoor Education lessons. We’ve still managed to get out in the evenings for a ‘re-fresh’!

Despite being pretty windy, the water in the lake felt much better than the North Sea!

On Tuesday evening, John, Aled and I went to check out ‘Roadrunner’ crag, which is accessed from the beach and only at low tide. It could be a nice little venue with a group, but as it’s north facing, it only really get the sun as it sets!

The walk along the beach from near Penmaenmawr was lovely.

The climbing was ‘okay’ but didn’t particularly ‘flow’ well. When the cloud covered the sun, it felt grey and cold – we even had spots of rain…

But then suddenly the light exploded from below the clouds just before it reached the horizon!

The light and warm was beautiful!

We walked away in the dusk, with the clouds on fire…
