Via a very hot Norway (21°C!), we made it north after sprinting across a terminal to change planes in the nick of time!… the final flight landed in a colder Kiruna, but still +1°C!

We’ve spent today acclimatising with a trip to visit the Ice Hotel and its amazing art sculptures.

And an afternoon drink in the ice bar, because, why not!… (even the glass is made of ice!).

Next stop is a wilderness lodge that is accessed only via snowmobile. Tomorrow, we’ll learn how to handle a team of Huskies and a sled, then weather permitting, we’ll be out in the wilds for the next the week…
