Evening Sunlight in the Valley

Clare was out first today en-route to Seattle to visit Ben, Anna and Jonathon. She was travelling light, while I was busy bag checking and re-packing with my Husky Sledding team ready for tomorrow’s departure.

It’s been so glorious here that it seemed remis not to make a quick evening trip into the mountains once all the bag weighing and boarding card printing was completed.

I dashed up to Milestone Buttress on Tryfan in some glorious light, only to find another team just setting up my intended route.

I took a few photos, then back tracked to the A5, and moved down the valley slightly to Tryfan Bach, so a quick solitary solo…

The rock was in the shade by this point, but the long shadows and evening light gave some great views. The rock remained nice and warm from a day in the sun as well.

Finally, I arrived back at The Cottage just before 8pm, for some food with a friend, followed by the inevitable last minute packing and re-packing! Tomorrow I’m heading north across the Arctic circle to Kiruna, Sweden, via Oslo Norway… Fingers crossed!
