Climbing at Tryfan Bach

The unsettled weather has lent itself well for a few days of productivity and socialness around The Cottage, rather than any huge mountaineering achievements. We’ve packed in a lot this week, with lovely visits from friends, evenings out at gigs, two birthday parties and we even double booked a few nights, with some late night dancing, in between some Cottage maintance.

The fresh high snow wasn’t looking particularly useful and hail showers continued to pass by on the strong northwesterlies, so climbing anything too committing wasn’t that sensible either.

While Clare was running an online Webinar on Thursday evening, I nipped out into the valley for a few cold finger climbs on Tryfan Bach. Always a fine place to be, even with the threat of a snowshower to keep attention focused.

I was able to get a couple of crack climbs ascended and was back at the car before the rain swept in rather dramatically.
