Cycle Scenes

It was a beautiful morning for an enforced cycle to Llandudno (while the van is at the garage). Although when setting out at 06:30am, the thermometer had only reached to 3 degrees! It was a windless morning with a hazy cloud cover, which meant the views were reduced – I couldn’t even see Anglesey as I followed the coastal cycle route. Reaching Conwy Harbour, after an hour in the saddle, I stopped for breakfast. The sun was doing it’s best to come out and it felt like the whole world was still asleep apart from a couple of fishermen.

My pre-prepared breakfast went down very well, and having enjoyed that, decided that I had just enough time to swing past the coffee shop. It was a fortuitous decision, as my friend Dave, who I’d not seen in a while just happened to be waiting for a client there, so we shared a brew and a few stories before I carried on – arriving just in time to give an assembly presentation after a cool 32km ride…

The woods are starting to fill with colour and were a lovely place to spend the morning doing some ‘mindful whittling’ of sticks with a student group.

And the Magnolia is starting to bloom as well…

To finish the day off, we had a nice staff ‘de-brief’ in the pub back in Conwy, then Kelly very kindly gave me a lift back to Bangor with the bike, meaning that I’d got a much shorter peddle home and just made it home before dark, where Clare had also just arrived..
