We’ve had a very wild few days this week, with winds strong enough to cancel my planned lessons. Driving over to Llandudno on Thursday morning, the sea looks incredible, with water up in the air and being blown across the road. John and I went searching for some sheltered surf in the evening, after a day sheltering in the climbing wall, but had no luck this time. Wortha look though!

Clare and I have also been ‘indoors’ rather than out on the rock. Great routes and a super vibe at Indy Wall.

We managed to get a bit of expedition training done on Friday, with some students who were doing their first ‘unaccompanied hike’. All went well, despite a few passing showers as they crossed Conwy Mountain.

Happily, everyone arrived unscathed down at the Marina. The final challenge was to locate the minibus using a grid reference if they wanted a lift home!
