The Northern lights have been over The Cottage this week! We could see them between the clouds pretty well, but this was the best effort my camera could pick out.

All in all, it’s been a bit of a low cloud, low energy kind of week, with not much to report, as I’ve been a bit under the weather. I’ve still been out and about teaching some navigation and overnighting on a short residential course, but have had to pass on anything too energetic!

We did get cool clouds forming thanks to some more stormy high winds.

Although the days have been a bit grey, there is still colour at The Cottage, thanks to Mum’s hanging basket skills.

And our first snowdrops have appeared!

A blast of blue sky on Sunday afternoon was well received and felt rather restorative…
