Snowed in and digging out!

Wow! More snow arrived again overnight – yesterday’s path clearance was all reset by the time we got up!

By morning, it was well below freezing and the clear skies kept it that way oretty much throughout the day. We made a start at digging out the van, but much of the snow had frozen hard to the metal.

There was also a considerable avalanche risk for anyone walking too close to The Cottage!

Our little snowman was enjoying a bit of sunbathing!

Rather than try and get up into the mountains, we chose again, to not even try and drive on the snowy roads. Instead, we went on foot from The Cottage, up the hill and through the woods to get some of the magnificent panoramas. We could see some ski tracks coming down from the mountains in the distance! The sheep were really having to wade about!

We returned to a very cosy Cottage scene and were happy to keep the fire company for the evening…

After dinner, the roof avalanched and we had to go back out to clear the snow from the half buried heat pump! So much snow!
