My new Photo Journal has arrived! Clare made the cover shot – an easy choice really, with her perfect powder descent of an untracked Norwegian mountain. It feels good just looking at that photo, never mind the other 150 images of the year inside!

The cloud and temperature inversions of the past week have finally moved on, and in between a bit of office work, I’ve had a late night cycle up in the mountains, done a spot of camp cooking and had a nice kayak session on the lake.

A super finish to the week was having a few bands play at our local venue. We went down on Saturday night for some dancing with the energetic “Electric Swing Circus”. Good times!

Plans are afoot now for the next week. We’ve been hoping to complete a cycle tour up the north east coast of England, to Edinburgh, but the weather may have other ideas!… This mornings suggestions have ranged from climbing in Spain, to biking in Norfolk to surfing in Cornwall. We’ve got an afternoon left to decide and plan!
