A super day of instructing kayak surfing! My first time in the sea for a while and it was pleasantly warm in there!

After several plan changes we eventually opted for the best beach for the conditions. The only slight blight on the session was getting accidentally hit in the face by a slightly out of control kayaker! I thought I’d lost my front teeth for a bit, but got away with a split lip and bruised cheek. All rather dramatic, painful and un-necessary on an otherwise great day!

After getting the pupils back, and kit all washed, I returned to the beach (after a quick dance with Clare), for a ‘pre-birthday swim’ with some of the Sunday Salsa team. This time wasn’t quite as warm without a wetsuit on!

Still, a beautiful evening to be able to be at the beach with some lovely people.

Then we all returned to The Cottage for a warm up and mega birthday cake/pavlova from Josie! Happy days!
