Another fantastic evening adventure climbing yet another local classic climb in the warmth of the evening sunshine!

It was a huge relief for us both to be out of the office after some very productive yet exhausting work!

The first pitch of the route is superb, with plenty of holds, gear and good rock.

As we climbed, the sun was tracking lower across the summit of Y Garn on the other side of the Cwm. We managed to stay fast enough to stay up in the warmth though.

A little traversing pitch is required to stay on the best of the rocky rib, but apart from that, it’s great climbing all the way.

Feeling like we were well ahead of the shadows, we stopped on a sunny ledge for our picnic dinner! (knowing we’d be back late, we’d gone prepared).

Clare was making the final moves onto the top of the ridge, when the sun hit the horizon! Very satisfying timing!

We did consider the logical extension of continuing over to Sub Cneifion Ridge, but we both decided that we’d done as much as our energy levels would allow while shill being enjoyable! Instead, we finished our snacks and began the walk back down into the shadowy Cwm.

What an evening. Above the sunlight was just clipping the top of ‘Manx Wall’ giving some good memories of last weeks adventure up there.

A nice walk down in the fading light, but well before dark…

Back at the car without need for torches and home for a shower and a cuppa a few minutes later. Mega.
