Aberglaslyn Gorge

I had to change plans at the last minute today after waking up to find the weather not quite as expected. Looking for a bit of shelter from the icy rain and hail, I opted for the Aberglaslyn Gorge near Beddgelert.

I was working with a trekking group who were developing their team skills and getting to know each other before we go on expedition to Africa in June. It wasn’t exactly Moroccan temperatures, but the terrain gave us so realistic ground to move over.

After navigating themselves to a pick up point, the weather brightened up considerably, so we stopped at a few view points on the drive back to get a good view of Snowdon.

There is still a dusting of snow on top, but nothing useful for climbing or skiing.

Once I’d got home, we had another super sunset, with the mountains really glowing in the last of the light. Here’s a few pics…
