Navigation Training

Despite the cold northerly wind, it was a bright day again in north Wales.

Although the views were great, I took my group away from the exposed shores and up into the coastal hills.

My group were doing some navigation training in preparation of going on a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition later in the summer. This small lake was a good navigational stop off and had some beautiful reflections.

One of the group also had a ‘pet dragon’ with them! It seemed to be enjoying the ambience…

While we had lunch, I experimented with different reflection angles. This was my favourite.

We got a few glimpses of the River Conwy on the walk back down to Sychnant Pass, where we’d left our minibus.

All in all, a rather nice day to be out!
