First breakfast outside at The Cottage of 2025! A glorious morning and perfectly timed with wanting a slow morning together. There is a dusting of snow up high and we had a slight frost first thing, but without a breeze, sitting in the sunshine felt wonderful.

And there’s a good bit of colour in the garden too!

Later in the afternoon we went over to Rhoscolyn to make the most of the conditions. It felt too cold to climb in the mountains still, but the sea cliffs that had been warming up in the sun all day were at an acceptable level of climbability.

The sun was glaringly bright as I traversed in to the corner of the climb ‘Symphony Crack’ and happily, just sheltered from the very light, but very cold sea breeze.

I fixed up a hanging belay so I could comfortably hang above the sea while Clare climbed over to join me.

Then, while I basked in the sunshine, Clare set to work getting us back up to the cliff top.

Lovely stuff.

Back up on the top, the wind was making it feel much colder than it looked.

Not wanting to rush away, we walked across the cliff tops and then finished the day in the last light at Rhoscolyn Beach.
