It’s been a sociable week around The Cottage, with meals out with nearby friends and family staying close by. As part of the ‘Royal Visit’ activities, and to mark the passing of a certain birthday, there was a request to take a trip down the local zip wire.

So it was on a dry, but overcast day, with an encouraging tail wind, that Howard, Mum and I launched off the slopes of Carnedd y Filiast and shot out above the slate quarries at 100mph, while Mel filmed from down below!

Hee hee! The things these young visitors get up to eh! A great bit of birthday fun, followed a few days later by fine dining and birthday cheesecake at Bryn Llys. Good times in North Wales….
