I don’t often get involved with sailing activities, but today I was up at the Lake assisting with a few RYA sailing courses on a beautiful, but baltic day. Llyn Brenig is the highest sailing club in Wales, so often attract the mist, but today we arrived to glorious blue skies as we rigged the boats.

After a quick re-fresh in the power boat, I was happy to remain as beach support as the students took turns out on the water.

The wind was strong and consistent, which made for some exciting and fast sailing manoeuvres!

The approaching rain was well dodged and it was only once we were packing up did the heavy rain arrive. I was very impressed with the students commitment to ‘getting stuck in’ in the cold conditions – especially when things occasionally went wrong!
