Toes on the Nose

After the early start on Snowdon on Sunday, I was somewhat zonked the next day. Clare and I had a very chilled walk along the beach, which also involved a little sunbathing and snoozing! Incredible warm conditions at the coast, when only a few miles away, the mountains were damp, wet and cloudy!

With a bit more energy to spare on Tuesday, I met Luke for a morning wave at the beach after an early work session on the laptop. The waves were small, glassy and there was barely a breath of wind. All very dreamy, with just a couple of other friends in the water. The waves were peeling off nicely and I was delighted to be able to walk along the board and ‘hang five’ toes off the nose as I glided along towards the beach. A real treat and a lot of fun.

A big seal joined in the line up for a bit and there were some big ‘murmuration’ of starlings and oyster catchers flying around. All in all a beauty morning. Topped of with post surf coffee served from the back of the van, while Luke and I nattered away.

The temperature tipped twenty degrees as we sat out, despite the odd spot of rain. The surf died off, so we went our separate ways, to complete an afternoon of tasks and I got organised to up coming work.

In the evening, I met up with Matt who is helping me put together some wood for new Cottage window sills – from wood from ‘The Den’ (naturally!)…
