It’s hard to believe, but it turns out that today marks the 10th Anniversary of the Mountain Lifestyle Blog! Ten years of adventures documented in an astonishing 2445 posts! I couldn’t help having a flick back though some of the journeys, climbs, rides and expeditions, as ten years seems like quite a momentous achievement. This is us, on this day in the Swiss Alps in 2014!

It’s a not too dis-similar story! We’d spent the week based out of an alpine chalet, climbing some awesome rock routes and taking in some inspirational peaks…

Summiting this peak – ‘The Fiama’ – still stands out as one of our great mountain adventures!

As a storm rolled in around the Swiss village of La Punt, and I was sitting in a chalet writing my usual multiple postcards and filling in our expedition journal, Clare suggested that I should perhaps start a blog and then I’d be able to share the same information, plus add photos. And so we did!…

Now ten years on and we’re back in the Alps! This time over on the French side, but still with plenty of exciting rock climbing adventures to be had.

And we’re also back living in a little alpine chalet! Although this one is certainly much more rustic that the Swiss one of a decade ago.

So much has happened over the last ten years that it’s impossible to summarise – so feel free to flick back through the archives if you’d like a taste of what we’ve been up to. They’ve been good years, filled with all manner of varied adventures and based from all sorts of mountain destinations around the world. Long may that continue…
