We drove up the winding roads to the upper meadows of the Ceillac valley. It’s a beautiful spot with plenty of hike and climbing. We’d gone armed with big plans for climbing a rocky ridge, but after stopping at a nice grassy area to enjoy the view and a drink, we soon decided that we were might be a bit tired after the previous days camp and hike.

After a fine few hours spent reading in idyllic temperatures, we thought a litre lighter exercise might be good for us, so we took a circular hike around the valley.

By chance, we found a good trail with several information boards along the way. There were plenty of flowers, marmots and good views to be seen.

The trail was around 5km, with a little up and down – more than enough for our tired bodies!

Came back to the pad for an early pizza dinner, movie and a stroll before sunset. Lovely.
