Climbing at Stanage Edge

It’s been another beautiful day in the Peak District, but up on top of Stanage Edge, a cold wind has been howling all day. After breakfast outside in my shorts in the sheltered valley of Edale, it was a bit of a surprise to need a hooded wind proof top to climb in.

The friction and the views were great today and we managed to tick off a couple of the classics as well as top roping quite a few others.

We missed last orders at the cafe in Hathersage, but just got to the ice cream shop before it shut. Phew! We have a portable pizza oven back at the bunkhouse, so dinner as a delicious one.
