Climbing at Burbidge North

Another great day on the gritstone crags. This time a good breeze was blowing, which meant that we had no trouble with the midges, although it did feel a little cooler on the top.

We based ourselves at the bottom of Ash Tree Wall and climbed a selection of the cracks to the top. We had carried the bouldering mats over, but they mostly got used as nice seats for those who watched!

Better than the climbing was the sunset! After dinner we drove up to Mam Tor and hiked a section of the ridge to watch the sunset on the solstice eve. Absolutely wonderful.
