After arriving back from Fressingfield, we just had time for a quick walk up Moel y Ci, before getting ready for the next set of travels.

I was working the logistics for a small hiking group who were starting a journey with a ride on the steam train from Caernarfon. Once they’d all boarded the train a chugged away, I had a few moments to catch up on admin in a very nice office space by the marina.

My luck was in at the next check point, as it happened to be at a beautiful swimming spot in the middle of nowhere! The valley seemed empty and I was half an hour ahead of schedule, so as I didn’t have swimming kit with me, I stripped down to undies. Typically , that was the exact moment as I was about to get in that a car came around the corner – and they had to stop right next to me to open a gate. I had no choice but to jump in! It was ‘bracing’ but in a nice way, and very refreshing!

The nearby bluebells were even better than the swim. A magic carpet.

Stayed the night in a hostel near the church in Tremadog. A late one with a few home sick little ones, made for tired eyes in the morning.

But the was remedied with a swim in the sea at Black Rock Sands once the group had left! Amazing!

It was a stunner morning at the beach, so Bex (who I was working with), didn’t rush away and instead used our phone to do as much email work as we could while enjoying the warming views. In the way to picking up the group, we managed to climb a route at Tremadog as well (after eventually finding somewhere to park the minibus). Didn’t get back home until too late. A fun few days but could do with a little more sleep!
