Matt and I had to change our plans of a morning on the crags to a morning of bouldering due to the pouring rain! Soon after getting my arms nicely pumped, I was back on the move again, this time by train, heading down to Birmingham for some Outdoors Education meetings.

I couldn’t get a direct train, but as it happened, Birmingham New Street station turned out to be a nice place to hang out while I swapped trains.

I was in the Midlands to help discuss and develop an inspection process for Outdoor Education Centres. A fellow Head of Outdoor Education and old friend picked me up from the station and we had a fun evening catching up on years of news, before turning in to our luxury ‘Pod’ accommodation at the hosting Outdoor Centre.

The meetings were interesting, educating and productive, with to be honest, was a little bit of a surprise! We even got to have a walk and talk around the vast centre.

Considering its proximity to the city, it had vast grounds and some impressive activities set up!

Another train journey got me back to Wales and I hitched a lift up to The Cottage with another Head of Centre, arriving home for a late dinner just after 9pm.
Unpacking was followed by re-packing for the next days departure and then finally bed…
