Cool Camping

It felt a bit ‘early season’ for camping this weekend, but I’ll take dry weather with cool temperatures over warm and wet! I was assessing a group on a Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition, that were following sections of the scenic North Wales path.

The high level route gives great coastal views and has the bonus of having the sea as a handy navigational aid when orientating the map!

It was a cool night with temperatures dipping to around 4°C. In the morning, I was rather wishing I’d opted for hot porridge rather than ice cold musli!

A steady group and no major navigational blunders made for a nice weekend away.

On arrival back home, a super social Sunday evening ensued, as we cycled to a friend’s birthday party in a nearby village, then back again at dusk, just as Matt arrived at The Cottage from Cornwall!
