Hard to believe, but Winter’s not quite over at The Cottage and a thick frost had to be negotiated before I could set off

Once things had warmed up a bit, I spent the day over on the west coast of Anglesey. Here we were sheltered from the easterlies and able to spend a very creative day on the beach. Here’s my best artistic efforts, made entirely of things ‘within reach’ on the beach.

With a full tide and plenty of blue sky, it made for a pretty magical classroom for the day.

During the day, as we followed the coastal path for some distance, we had a go at making some jewellery…

And our home made sundial showed up when it was time to leave!

I made it home with minutes to spare. I swapped the van for my bike, and cycled with Clare down the hill to a local ‘feast’, of local produce, cooked over an open fire and with live music for entertainment! A very enjoyable and sociable way to finish the day.
