We had a change of location and temperature since our anniversary!

On our final day in Turkey, we had a long swim and snorkel near Datça, followed by a final coffee at the harbour cafe, where we happened to bump into our friends from Wales again! All the impromptu chat resulted in slight rush to actually pack up the house and get to the airport!

A late night flight, an overnight travel lodge and some time on the British motorway, got us down to Somerset rather than back home to Wales. Various family members were congregating from ‘up north’ in Newcastle and ‘the states’ from Seattle! First stop as a team outing was the beach at Lyme Regis. High winds and a choppy swell gave different conditions to what we’ve become accustomed to recently, so there was no snorkelling, or swim incentive, but we did dip our toes in!

As well as hitting the beach with the little dudes, I’ve also squeezed in a very rapid visit down through Devon to Cornwall, to see Wally and meet Jenny for lunch…
