I’ve spent this afternoon getting updated on the latest rescue techniques on a local High Rope Course. I don’t do much of this sort of work, but it’s been good to keep up to date as new kit is invented. This JAG pulley system was very slick and made it very easy to hoist a stuck/injured climber very quickly.

It has a built in cam so that the rope is automatically caught and won’t pull back through the pulley.

We ran a few scenarios indoors before heading outside to try things out for real.

This ASAP was something I’d never used. Very easy for protecting yourself while getting up and down a rope, although only once you’re a good height off the ground.

All in all, very informative and in a beautiful woodland as well.
