Red Wharf Bay

Overcast, drizzle and gales… Doesn’t sound like the best day for a beach walk, but the east cost of Anglesey was at least one of the more sheltered places in North Wales today.

We’ve both been fighting off a flu type thing since last week, so it seemed like a good low effort hike and a chance to suck in some rejuvenating sea air.

The tide was far out giving us plenty of sand to hike on and only some flocks of sea birds to share it with.

There were all sorts of cool patterns being blown about in the sand as we hiked out to the waters edge. We were back in time for a late lunch, having used up our limited energy supplies by midday! Nice to be out though…
