A super wild day all across the UK today as Storm Isha passed by. All planned Outdoor Education activities were cancelled in advance, but I still managed to get out into the 80mph winds to ‘get a feel for it’.

The weather charts were particularly pleasing to view even though they were forecasting bad weather!

I took a group of students up a nearby hill to feel the wind in our hair and see what 80mph winds would feel like. Walking uphill with the wind behind us was easy, but to get back down we needed goggles to protect us from the pelting rain! In the drive home, there were the usual wet weather water features in the road drains.
