There was snow falling while I walked home from my friend Dave’s house last night.

By morning, not much more had fallen, but there was enough of a covering to give away the passing of unseen animals – a fox, rabbit and various birds…

The forecast which has lent towards a wild weather day had changed its tune and it turned out to be just as nice as Monday.

While my brain fancied heading back up into the mountains to climb some ice, my body was tired and so we spent a very nice day, visiting friends in Llanberis and keeping well topped up with tea and coffee. All very restful and just what I needed.

On the way home, we stopped on the hill to make a short hike to the sunset view point. Well worth it, despite the low temperatures!

Now back by the fireside, we are making plans for future ski touring adventures!…
