After a strengthening couple of days at two different climbing walls, it was time for a gentler day closer to home.

Moel y Ci is the name of the small peak above The Cottage and provides a fine gentle hike with excellent views, which was just about the level of activity that we both needed.

We started in the forest which felt very damp, but there were some interesting fungi about. Once onto the north side of the mountain, the clouds lifted and we got a few glimpses of sunlight as we looked out to sea.

We walked slowly, giving us both time to think and chat…

We hung out on the summit for a bit, watching the light move across the fields below, before returning to The Cottage, still feeing fatigued but considerably more refreshed.
