A week has flown by between The Cottage and Fort Martin, without much time for photos, writing and only a fleeting glimpse of the mountains!

The stormy weather meant a change of plans on several days and resulted in some unplanned time working indoors at the climbing wall and also a bit of additional admin.

The weather has also been creating some unusual weather patterns which have created rather artistic patterns on the weather charts! These two opposing wind directions have been battling it out with Scotland taking the brunt of it!

Here in Wales we got away lightly compared to the floods that the rest of the UK seems to have suffered from. We had a decent amount of rainfall, but scenes like this are not uncommon around here after a good dousing.

It’s lightly off season, but I’ve been using some free moments to fix up some of the stores – on Friday I was making sure the snow shoes are all ready for action – just in case we get a big winter!

After starting the week at Fort Martin, then working in Wales for three days, after a rather damp walk in the woods with Clare, I was back on the road to hang out with the gang for a little extra. This time with a bonus visit from the Fressingfield team and a drink with Patrick who arrived fresh from the Podium at Silverstone where he’d just been presented with a trophy after coming third in the ‘Legends Classic Car’ 3 hour Enduro Race! What a family!
