I’ve been up in the Lake District for the past few days, assessing a group of students who are on their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition. Unfortunately, I’ve been somewhat struck down with the lurgy, so have not been able to capitalise on being up here! Rocks to climb, peaks to bag, lakes to swim in and friends to catch up with have all had to be put on hold, while I save energy for checking on the group.

We travelled from the west coast at Ravenglass, through Eskdale and am currently at Wasdale Head. Nice to be up here even while under the weather!
