Slightly in-land, the small town of Muzillac furnished us with produce for lunch and dinner, then we whiled away an hour in the shade of a cafe, watching the world go by. In our minds we had imagined the exact kind of place – outside seats, space for bikes, not crowded, good views, shade. It came up trumps on all accounts.
A short explore though the narrow streets let us to the cycle track that led further west to the next good looking beach. (Along the coast from a town called Damgan).
Here we have been given a shady spot on the edge of a small cliff, which looks straight out to sea. The perfect place to kick back and rest for a while. Food, books and bike maintenance were the order of the afternoon. The cogs of the bikes are literally clogging up with a gooey mix of dust, sand and chain oil.
